Hi - from the Simmons Team
Wow nearly Christmas again and what a year it has been. Watch for an update on content in the next couple of days.
It has been a big year. Why? Well here is a list if the things we have done.
March is zooming through and with it comes the end of the summer sports. This last weekend was a big one. Taylor had the semi-finals of baseball on Saturday. The kids enjoyed a win in that game which saw them into the finals on Sunday morning. The day weekend stayed fine and a great game took place on the Sunday morning with the boys taking out a great win. Our kids felt a great sense of pride as they had only placed third at the end of pool play and had to dig deep for to win the championship - Awesome!!
After the little boat trailer mis-hap over the summer we finally took delivery of the new, rebuilt trailer. Boat had sat on the grass for two months (all good ski weather) which meant everyone was pretty keen to get a ski in before the weather turns bad. Chris had a quick run with his buddy Wayne on thursday and then we went out on Saturday afternoon for a run with the kids. Both were straight back into it. Chelsea popping up on her doubles like it was the easiest thing out and Taylor nailing his single skiing.
The school term is coming to an end already. It has been a good first one back for both kids - each doing real well. Taylor got to represent the school at the zone swim sports - his relay team placed second in the finals which is the first time in two years that VAS have had a placing (private schools have very strong swim teams), so that was a thrill. Chelsea is well into year two and working hard on all her school work - has also mastered the Polka for ballet :-)
The next couple of months promise a lot of work, travel and hopefully a bit more fun. Check back for our regular updates.
By the way, each of the kids are updating their own websites, so click on the following links for their own thoughts and updates on what they are doing: Taylor and Chelsea
